An Evening at Pecos
'You have eyes like my dog's', he said.
How utterly open-ended and so long
the line of adjectives that queued
to fill the pause that followed,
as he stared into my doggy brown eyes.

Years later, with no idea
of what's become of him,
I look at my eyes, remembering.
It was the best compliment
I've ever received.

poems. mostly old. aged at least 6 years.

Hillspeak
Bluegums hide
a thousand crickets
and loom in the mist,
huge grey ghosts.
I walk alone, keeping time
to the music in my head.

loose talk in limbo

back from an excellent holiday which segued pretty much straight away into a sick leave of some length; which means i have barely been to office the last month or so. a state i find is VERY pleasing and easy to get used to.

sigh... monday will see me back at my desk, although strenuously sniffing at the next opportunity for some work-travel. but that's neither here nor there.

i have a bunch of random pics (the ones with people are up on facebook) of food, of food in progress and wierd nothings that caught my eye on my holiday. now if i could just figure out...

Gottit! Hah! ladies & gentlemen, i give to you, The Not-So-Magical-Mushroom! A random concoction of imagination and road-trip snacks that none of us had the good sense to actually taste!

The Not-So-Magical-Mushroom
1 kurkure
1 one small piece of a banana (we used ethakka pazham for its firmness and more robust flavour)

more pictures will follow, alongside random ravings about food and the state of my life. till then, i leave you to imagine what this may have tasted like.
